Moody's KMV and Tarsus Kredi to Hold Credit Risk Conference in Istanbul
Credit Experts and Finance Professionals to Discuss the Future of Credit Risk in Turkey
ISTANBUL - November 7, 2006 - Moody's KMV, the world's leading provider of quantitative credit risk measurement and management solutions to lenders, investors and corporations, today announced that it will collaborate with its partner in Turkey, Tarsus Kredi, to hold a conference for Credit Risk Professionals in Istanbul. The Conference will bring together leading credit risk specialists and banking experts to discuss current issues and trends concerning Turkish credit risk. The Conference will take place November 8, 2006, at Ç?ra?an Kempinsky Hotel in Istanbul between 09.30 and 16.15.
The Credit Risk Conference will showcase international perspectives from two guest speakers who implemented new credit risk systems at their own banks, Lloyds TSB in London and The National Bank of Abu Dhabi. The Conference will also focus on advanced credit strategies and portfolio management tools for financial institutions looking to increase economic capital, apply best credit practices to their institutions and comply with the pending implementation of Basel II regulations in Turkey.
"The application of Basel II policies will strengthen how banks and other financial institutions assess and manage risk. This conference will be essential in providing the Turkish financial sector with guidance on how to cope with the challenges of this new era," said Gavin Style, Managing Director of EMEA for Moody's KMV. The Conference will be attended by financial thought leaders, including:
